"Take On Me" is a song by the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha. The original version, recorded in 1984 and released in October of that same year, was produced by Tony Mansfield and remixed by John Ratcliff. The 1985 international hit version was produced by Alan Tarney for the group's debut studio album, Hunting High and Low (1985). The recording combines synth-pop with varied instrumentation, inc...
Toto - No End In Sight [4K]
Просмотров 544Месяц назад
“No End in Sight” marks a strong ending for Toto’s Falling in Between, but with a hint of melancholy. The song delivers powerful and progressive drumming by Simon Phillips locked with Mike Porcaro’s sweeping bass parts. David Paich weaves his acoustic piano with Greg Phillinganes’ synth and organ to create a traditional Toto keyboard feel to the song. Steve Porcaro returns to add additional syn...
Toto - She Knows The Devil [HD]
Просмотров 3882 месяца назад
This song, just like most of the others on 1992’s Kingdom of Desire, was group written and produced. The multi-tracked rhythm guitar licks have a Danny Kortchmar, late-’80s feel. Of course, Steve Lukather is known for his brilliant solos - but his talents at holding the rhythm down cannot be overlooked. Jeff Porcaro makes the 4/4 backbeat all his own, switching from his main snare drum to a pic...

Toto's "25th Anniversary Live in Amsterdam" is a musical celebration of the band's career. It was shot live at the Heineken Arena, in Amsterdam on February 17th, 2003. Toto may be past its prime as a multi-platinum recording band, but Live in Amsterdam offers abundant proof that their performances are as electrifying as ever. Recorded in Amsterdam's Heineken Music Hall on February 17, 2003, nea...

Mazinger ✨🤩
Is that Fred White on backing vocals? Holy crap! What an amazing voice.
Very cool David Paich song, he gave it to Boz and had a mild hit with it, the band released it too but Boz's version got the attention.
Heart and soul. That is TOTO
Some of the best musicians, fronted by the fabulous voice of Joseph Williams. An unbeatable combination.
What a beautiful recording with outstanding resolution. Do you have more from this show, Gerald? Thanks for sharing!
Unbelievable musicianship from all. So inspiring.
From the multiple interviews with Steve Lukather that I've watched since the first one back a couple of years ago, it's easy to tell that Jeff was pretty much the anchor of Toto. He's so mature, appeared as a really bad-a$$ man - in a good way. They're still devastated by his passing even after all these years.
My favourite song!!! Love it! Holyanna!
Wow, I had never seen this show in such good quality. Please post the full show if you have it. Thanks.
☺️😁👹
I first heard a song from The Cars in 1978 on the school bus going to school one day while in 8th grade. It was being played on a cassette tape from a 1978 version of a boom box by a 16-year-old girl who was actually a classmate of mine (because she supposedly stood back a couple years in earlier grammar school grades). The song was Let the Good Times Roll from their 1978 debut album titled simply The Cars. I thought the song was catchy yet quirky at the same time. I think what made it sound a bit quirky was the singer's voice which did not sound like the stereotypical singer in a rock band, but more like an average guy who took up singing and playing in a rock band. As the next 6 years passed, I'd hear songs from The Cars on the radio and people talking about them often enough that they always seemed like they were fairly popular - not on top of the world but still widely known. Then, 1984's release of the album Heartbeat City and the hit Drive seemed to push them up to the top. Maybe not the No. 1 rock band in the world, but it seemed to me they had reached superstar status, and to me this time period seemed to be their peak. After that summer of 1984, they seemed to decline gradually, or at least to me they did. My favorite The Cars song is from that debut album that I heard on cassette tape back in 1978 on the way to school: You're All I've Got Tonight Sounds the catchiest with good guitar hooks in the verses and chorus.
Simon Phillips ❤❤❤❤❤The Best ❤❤❤❤❤
Bit of trivia... That vocalist in the flat cap is the son of the legendary star wars music composer John Williams.
Kind of odd that this popped up on my feed. I wasn’t even searching the Cars or anything close. But, here we are. So when I graduated high school in 1982, the Cars were known but were up against the likes of Rush, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Pat Benatar. I was rocking to Tattoo You by the Rolling Stones and listening to the Motels with my girl friend who is now my wife of 41 years. While the Cars might have been lost in the shuffle, they seem to take me back to 42 years ago when I was a senior. I grew up in a very small town in the Mojave desert. There were 42 people in my graduating class, so popularity wasn’t a problem. Everyone got along just fine because we were all kids from blue collar working class families. We all hung out at desert parties or kicked it at someone’s home. We didn’t have a mall to hang out in. Life was pretty simple then. I am so happy we didn’t have social media or cell phones. We had to physically hang out together. Jesus Christ I am 60 now. Just like a typical old man I am telling stories of how good life was in my time 😂
They had such a cool sound 👏
You'd be tempted to call them a "bubblegum band" but... they sounded SO GOOD! <3
Was this the Heartbeat City tour?
I remember my first boy friend if your out THERE. I hope your well thanks for being my first love❤
men! this is so heavy! love this band
sounds like the keyboardist listened to The Police song, Spirits in the Material World while writing this song.
Man I never know they were that tight
No. Stevie ray vaughn was a genius. Eliot is good not great
Killer video.

❤❤❤
Geez, who ever thought we'd miss the 80s?
Well not all of it but I felt powerful relevant connections, sadly it is over. However I feel grateful no whiners❤
Makes me sad
Damn, nice clean definition for a 1991 video.
This song Reminds me When I Played Final Fantasy 7 in my PSX When Cloud is Fighting off Sephiroth... But Anyway I finally Found this song I looking for very long time and This song gaves me Determination in my mind
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Greg Hawkes keyboard was the Cars sound. Without him they're just another band but his sound made their sound so unique. When I first heard the Cars his keyboard sound was the first thing I noticed and made me a fan. As a musician with my own band back then I knew a unique sound when I heard it.
The only member who didn’t give the Cars their sound was David Robinson. He was an average drummer at best.
Brilliant lyrics. Exactly what you'd expect at this time in Rock history.
Really loved Elliot's solos. He put so much into them and they were usually brilliant and well structured! Underrated
In May 1978 a then practically unknown local (Boston) band called The Cars played at a small central Massachusetts college called WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) on a wonderful day of Spree. I was a student there (class of 1980) and remember them...not to well. But ultimately I became a big fan. Moving In Stereo/All Mixed Up...
Elliot Easton🔥
All great things must come to an end...
These guys were not always known for their live shows, but when you caught them on a good night like I did at the Springfield Coliseum and Worcester Centrum several times, they were phenomenal. They also seemed to make not being cool, seem cool.
The best WIG in rock - RIC
Lo mejor que ha dado la música, que ritmo!!,que pasión!!
W O W !
Listening to his guitar solo here, and then 1990 and 1991 back to back…I’d have to say that this is Luke’s best version overall. Crystal clear tone and amazing phrasing.
Add this to the crappy cars song list!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Woooou the great Jeff and David peach 😢.🎉❤
Ending with a unmistakable SAMBA groove,on Porcaro gifted drums!!🥁🎶🎵👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
